Just the girls

This past weekend Sarah’s soon to be mother in-law Dede threw her a second bridal shower in Phoenix so Sarah could meet all of their family and friends before the wedding. Unfortunately my mom could not attend because it happened to be the same weekend as the Laughlin River Run so she needed to stay in town to keep a handle on the thousands of bikers that came to Laughlin as apart of her job. While Sarah, Lily and myself headed to Phoenix the guys headed to California for a bachelor camping trip for Jeff.
The shower was held at friend of his family’s home, it was a stunning house with a full wait staff of a chef and two maids! I was sure impressed. The food was delicious, the company was fantastic and the gifts were exquisite. She seemed to fit right in with his family and I think they loved her too. I truly enjoyed our girls weekend away.

Young at Heart

On April 22nd we celebrated Anthony’s 25th birthday. When brain storming what he would like to do for his big day he knew he wanted pizza and didn’t want to let go of his youth. So he realized that Peter Piper Pizza was perfect place to go. We all thought it was silly and sounded like a lot of fun. We had great time keeping a milestone birthday light hearted. We enjoyed pizza, beer and some serious ski ball tournaments, race car driving competitions, and a few rounds hoops. Lily had never been to any type of arcade before so she found the loud bells and flashing lights to be entertaining but what she found to be even more interesting then that was how wild her Gigi and Papa got when they were in competition mode. Overall we had a ton of fun and Anthony seemed to feel really happy about his day.

Pretty in pink!!!

Although Miss Lily is often found wearing pink today was special, it was the year end anniversary of the Healthy Woman organization that auntie Sarah is the director of at the hospital. The celebration was held at the Aquarius hotel and casino where there was a huge health fair along with a luncheon and a guest speaker. The speaker talked about understanding how to manage the stress in our lives and how we should choose what is worth stressing over. In addition to three hundred women attending, Anthony and uncle Jeff also joined (they thought there was something they may miss if they didn't join the girls club). The speaker portion of the day was the perfect time for a good nap and lunch was better out of a bottle seemed to be Lily's thoughts. It was a very successful year with many new members joining to receive e-mails about women's health and monthly meetings with speakers to keep women educated about health issues. I hope this organization will continue for Lily's sake so when she is old enough to understand her own health she will have good sources to learn from. Auntie Sarah is doing an amazing job to keep our community healthy and involved. It was a really fun day to spend with the girls and a couple of healthy men.

Wedding Shower Weekend

This past weekend was full of events besides being Easter it was Sarah's bridal shower. My mom and I decided to throw her a daisy themed shower at a local park. It turned out beautiful and was so much fun. I think it was just a kick off to the wild wedding to come!

BABY FOOD

Lily is 4 months old already! In the past few months it seems like she gone from a soft sleeping baby to a wiggly giggly girl. She is now eating baby food, rolling over and laughing at everything. Anthony and I both swear she has said “mammmma” and “ddddaadad” but according to all of the parenting books at this age it probably was just gas. In the picture you will see her eating her first bit of carrots. She seems to enjoy anything we allow her to eat… I knew she had some Morga in her she loves to eat!

Keeping In Touch

A friend of ours who has kids and lives in Iowa inspired me with this idea to start a blog so we can keep all of our friends and family updated on our lives. Especially since little Lily is growing so fast this will give everyone a chance to watch her grow with us!
