One more hour in the day.....

Only if I had one more hour in the day and just a little more energy I would keep this blog up to date. But I wouldn’t trade anything for my long days filled with caring for my children. So since I found the time I am updating everyone on our past few months of June, July and August.

June was spent adjusting our life to having a needy newborn in the house and a jealous jumping toddler. Though it was kind of a blur the days consisted of hours of snuggles, lots of tears and plenty of laughs. The nights were sleepless but worth every second of bonding to our new blessing.

July 4th was a fantastic holiday with family and friends. It was quite traditional with cousin Alex and his family joining us along with the Wellton Morgas. We spent two days at the Johnsons house by the pool. My mom put on another amazing firework show and we once again got front row seats behind the pyrotechnics.

The next weekend the Salaris, Morgas, and Magnums headed to Montana to visit Aunt Lillie and Uncle Buck. I was sure excited this would be Lily’s second time to Montana and Colin’s first. The plane ride was uneventful which a relief to all of us was since Lily has hit the terrible twos early. The weather was perfect and the scenery was exquisite. We had a wonderful time catching up with Lillie and Buck, did a little fishing, went to a youth rodeo, and of course we went to the pig races. Aunt Lil spoiled us with many homemade meals and we all were so great full for her hard work in the kitchen even if we did gain a pants size. It was a short trip but truly an amazing time.

August has had no major events besides that I started to plan Lily’s second birthday party. I’m planning a Barnyard theme with a petting zoo! She loves all the animals at my mom’s house, so I know she will really enjoy herself. I have also taken on the task of throwing a baby shower for my friend Erin and I’m really excited about that! It is a true passion of mine to plan parties; I have always been in love with the little details that make every occasion memorable. So let the party planning begin!

September is Anthony and my 3rd anniversary and we are planning to go to Sedona for a weekend. It will be our first time away from Colin so I’m a little nervous about that. But we are really looking forward to a few day dedicated to just us. I will be sure to post after our adventure. As for now we will continue to TRY to keep cool and enjoy life’s blessings.
